How high is a gooseneck trailer hitch?
What I ask is that I need to try to build an attachment that could drag a gooseneck trailer with a trailer hitch typically uses a drop hitch. I know that every truck and trailer combo is different, but I just need an overall height above the ground when hooked. I thought this would be a fun project to do in my welding class. What happens is that I have had the opportunity to get trailers gooseneck, but I have no way to travel. I drive a full size Chevy Suburban.
Suburban? You tow gooseneck trailers with a truck or a flatbed truck. That's why the gooseneck to reach over the bed of the truck and the hitch is usually on the shaft to distribute the load evenly between truck and trailer.
