Trying to find the name of the large feather headpieces used on circus and carriage horses?

The feathers sit in between the ears and are sometimes seen on the withers of circus horses also. I’m looking for the name of them and where I might source some.

Plume is specific for a feather, but the general term for an adornment of that sort is a cockade, and the specific term for adornment of a horse’s harness is caparison.

A cockade is the term for a plume, ribbon, or rosette used typically in adornment of a hat; one with a feather would be a plumed cockade. A horse is caparisoned with plumed cockades and other trappings when it is wearing decorated harness, such as a circus horse might wear.
